- 14 - 86 For the scattered German gardeners, a horticultural vocational school was opened in the form of a 7-weekly course at the German horticulture school in Brno. The first year was completed in March. A similar measure is being prepared for Czech gardeners' apprenticeships for the l.IX.l.J. II. Education and Science. By the border drawn in October 1938, the centuries-old historical borders of the countries of Bohemia and Moravia have been fundamentally changed. From the consideration that the continuation of all historical Quelen publications from this area will have to be assumed from the historical borders, is with decree of 6 October 1938. In March 1944, in agreement with the leaders of the neighbouring Reichsgaue, the o. Professor at the German Karls University, Prof. Dr. Z a t s c h e k , initially for the duration of 3 years, was appointed commissioner for the historical publications of sources in Bohemia and Moravia.The task of the commissioner should be to ensure a good understanding and a planned cooperation of all the scientific enterprises, which collect and publish Czech and Moravian historical sources of a general and special nature in a planned manner. It shall supervise and manage this work and eliminate duplication and inhibitions which may arise from the various administrative responsibilities. He is also assisted by an edition council appointed for a period of three years, which includes the German and Czech representatives of the Aemter, institutions and associations, which are the main sponsors of these scientific enterprises, as well as representatives of Germany's Ministry of State and the other authorities involved. The Council of Editions will only be able to take up a full range of work after the end of the war.
