On March the 8th, the Graphic Collection of the Bohemian and Moravian National Gallery in Prague began its work. Thus, the first step is taken to clean the corridors of Prague's museum system, the basic principles of which were established, the execution of which was possible during the war áber al lein in the field of graphics. The current state of the Prague museums is as follows: Museums are maintained by the Protectorate, by the country Bohemia, the city of Prague, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and by private enterprises. In addition, large collections of richly-owned art objects have been lent by the regional museum in particular to the Bohemian-Mährische Landesgalerie. A certain simplification of the situation has already been achieved by the dissolution of the Modern Gallery Foundation, whose numerous collections of newer art have been combined with the corresponding departments of the Bohemian-Moravian State Gallery. The aim for the redesign of Prague's museum system after the war must be to categorize the state of all museums in such a way as to ensure that the art genres belonging to each other are exhibited in the same collection and that the works of art, which have so far been heavily misrepresented, are fully recognised. As a decisive aspect of the redesign, the development of the decisive German cultural influence will be the main focus. Now the works of art of the museums have been preserved to a large extent outside Prague, but by a clear demarcation of the acquisition areas within the museums it has been ensured that the future regulation can be prepared expedited and carried out after the occurrence of previous conditions.
