33a - 2 Due to the growing volume of the indispensable organisational work, an auxiliary worker has been employed whose remuneration is calculated according to the general rates and is equivalent to RM 178 per month. This grant was awarded in the past year from the grant from Reichenberg. If a grant were approved by the German Minister of State, half of the above-mentioned remuneration would be covered by it. As this assistant simultaneously completes a substantial research task, the work is in a competent and reliable hand. Various students have received allowances for the production of excerpts and bibliographic works, and grants for work outside of Prague, since without such assistance the tasks cannot be completed on a broad basis. However, it has also been made possible by the fact that quite a lot of progress has been made already in the first year. Division of labor: Dureh an agreement with the Gauarchiv in Reichenberg has been agreed on a division of labour. Gauarchiv retains the forehand in the acquisition of material which is of crucial importance for the general history of the people and national movement in the Sudeten countries. The holdings of Gauarchiv are open to our research. The research assistant has been sent to Reichenberg for three weeks in order to obtain a detailed overview of the stocks stored in the Gauarhiv and has made extracts. The main archive of the NSDAP in Munich has been agreed that the main archive will not collect on its own initiative those newspapers that are important for the history of the Volkische movement , and also the DNSaP etc. The main archives will be based on the material that the Prague Research Centre has already collected for press history and will still collect. In such a division of labor, the heavy weight of the collection and research work remains in the Bohemian-Mauritian region and remains accessible here. In this respect, a well-known success can already be seen in the efforts that were decisive in the attack on the research work on the history of the press. A preliminary contract has been concluded with the Volk und Reich-Verlag in Prague. It provides for the publication of a multi-volume richly equipped press history of Bohemia and Moravia. The delimitation of the individual volumes is still reserved. The volumes are to be completed in the following order: the years from 19l8 to 1938, from the turn of the century to lgl8, from 1880 to 1900, from 1848 to 1880, the year 1848, from 1815 to 1848, the Napoleonic period 40195, the Josephninian age
