- 12 - 40 for the German Wehrmacht parts is visited in the protectorate of the largest part of Czech meat inspectors, in the German territories of Moravia the appointment of former Czech military gagists as meat inspector is to be halted. However, German meat inspectors have so far received only appreciably, but with the help of the party they are further promoted in this direction. The veterinary officers of the Oberlandrats continuously carried out checks on the slaughtering houses of their districts, often complaining about hygienic deficiencies. In particular, meat treatment and cleanliness leave many wishes open, although substantial progress has already been made in the past, many municipalities are modernising their slaughterhouses through the establishment of the Upper Land Councils. However, the current shortage of building raw materials and workers makes large-scale proposals fail. Particular attention is now devoted mainly to veterinary food control during the hot season. Ongoing investigations showed considerable dissatisfaction in restaurants, butchers and grocery stores. Depleted goods had to be destroyed several times by order, swine fever and swine paralysis occurred several times and caused significant losses, especially in the Melni- ker district. In the fight against rabies, it was achieved that, in the future also in the Protectorate, the gendarmerie and state police organs were fully incarcerated.
