In both cases, it would be desirable for the Russian archive staff to be left behind, as they have acquired thorough knowledge of this field through years of work, know the existing book and document material in detail and will cause considerably lower costs in terms of pay. These two possibilities I propose in the event that the maintenance of the archive in its present form, which does not at all prevent the extensive use of the existing source material by German authorities or official offices, is not possible for any reason. For the Russian Emigration, to which this cultural monument of the Russians has grown especially to the heart abroad, it would of course be particularly desirable to maintain the current form of organization.
