11 - 4 - with a carefully selected library and a large collection of newspapers gained in value and thus not only the scientific work in the archive was facilitated, but also the value of the individual documents rose through their cinsion into the entire source material of a bestimate epoch. Through such a surgical operation as the division of the archive, both parts - both the remaining Tell and the Tell attributed to the Military Archives - will lose their value, while the Azchiv itself, on which the Russian Emigration could rightly be proud, will be transformed into a life-insensitive institution deprived of its organic components without any scientific significance. The above considerations, in my capacity as head of the scientific organ of the Russian History Archive, allow me to excite the support of your Excellency in order to preserve the archive from such a rejuvenating blow as the division of the itterial stock would mean. As far as I know, the final solution to this question depends on the central administration of the Army. I take this opportunity to express my excellent respect for your Excellency. e.g.: A.
