On 24 June, Secretary of State Frank sent a decision to President Hácha, under No. ll85, which, in six paragraphs, ordered the introduction and supremacy of the German language as an official language, where this is possible by means of regulations and where it is necessary to withdraw a legislative body, before 1 July. The decision of M.Frank states that in future the laws, the decrees, the price lists, if published by the press, will be first published in German (with indication of the place with German designation), so also announcements made by the radio, speech or silent film. He also ordered that all printed documents, issued for the use of the population, such as timetables, instructions for use, maps, official posters relating to the transport sector (railway and postal services), should first be printed in German language in all documents · for internal administration, payment means (banknotes and coins) securities, travel tickets and stamps. This does not refer to Bäros, who only work for Germans whose language is German alone. All administrative authorities are obliged to answer the questions addressed to them in German in the same language. On the other hand, an oral question in the German language has to be answered in the same language on the post office, on the railway, at the court and at offices of any kind. If Germans and Czechs have a trial, the trial must be conducted in this way.
