It should be considered that the abolition of the monastery of the Emmausian, the dissolution of the Order of the Merciful Brethren and the return of the members of the two clergy into a lay state is by virtue of the power of the state used against the two rhymes of the strictest punishments that the church leaders may enjoy against the clergy for the worst crimes.
