67a The Oberlandrats are entitled to request the inclusion of the police force within the scope of the tasks referred to in II, l a) and d) The battalions = commanders are obliged to comply with these requirements. The battalions=commanders decide which forces are used and which means are to be used in order to achieve the purpose intended by the Oberlandrats under their own responsibility. If battalions = commanders cannot comply with the requirements of the Oberlandrats, because they do not have sufficient forces or are no longer available to them, they shall communicate this to the Oberlandsrat, by immediately passing on the requirements to the regiment, who shall not be taken into account, to the Regiment, or to the commander of the Ordnungspolizei. The regiments=commandeurs must take the necessary steps to ensure that the requirements of the Oberlandrats for the deployment in accordance with Task II, l a) (Unrest control) are met, the commanders must be aware that the performance of these tasks precedes everything else. Requirements according to Task II, 1 d) (maintenance of calm and order) may only be imposed in urgent exceptional cases. 68351 The Oberlandrats have to examine in particular the question whether the uniformed police forces of the autonomous protectorate administration are not sufficient or whether their use is inappropriate. They must be aware that the German troops=police forces deployed in the Protectorate have different tasks than the uniformed police in the Reich in general. A strong examination of the police force to fulfil these tasks would prevent their training and impair their impact. IV.
