(iii) The activities of the Commission of Inquiry. In view of the atmosphere caused by such attacks in the public sphere, the Company's Board of Directors, in agreement with the Prime Minister Dr. Hodza, decided to entrust a commission composed of representatives of the various ministries with the investigation of all the incidents shown. The Commission has designated representatives of the Ministry of Finance (as Presidents), of the Minister of Handesl, of the Department of Public Works and of the Defence Ministry. The general view was that this Commission would examine all the complaints strictly objectively and that the outcome would be presented to both the company's board of directors and the state administration for a definitive decision. The whole Commission, unfortunately, was completely in captivity to the politically interested sphere, could not and did not even village objectively, and consequently could not guarantee such a result, which should correspond to the truth and the facts. It would be very worthwhile to entrust a new Commission with the investigation into the activities of the Commission at that time, and the composition of this Commission, as it had shown in the course of the investigation, raised doubts about its objectivity. A member of the political party, who was very interested in the results of the investigation by Mr Hrusovsky, is said to have been concerned from the very beginning with the intention of obtaining a well-paid post at Dunajplavba for his relatives employed by the Ministry of Railways and, according to the events known to that authority, a reduction which should first be released from the Dunaj plavba by dismantling another person. Another member announced that he had made a request to the Commission for appointment to become the future Director-General immediately after his entrustment. The third member announced he had previously been in a very friendly relationship with the leader of the rebels, i.e. Mr Sebera himself had claimed that he had "in hand" this representative, even on various occasions in the circle of his acquaintances. Even the methods used by the Commission could not guarantee their objectivity. In this respect, we could point out the following circumstances: ./.
