3a The main concern of all these intriguers, however, was to also meet the Prime Minister Dr. Hodza for their goals. That was not difficult. One day in the "Slovak" an article appeared, in which it was pointed out that in the Dunajplavba an execution request to secure a demand of Kč 100.Ooo.- against the "Director General" Hrusvosky was requested and in which also it was mentioned that a person who cannot keep their private matters in order could not possibly be placed on such a position of trust of a general director. The result was, on the one hand, that Hru- sovsky could no longer be considered as a candidate for the post mentioned, and on the other hand, the intriguers were now seeking help with the Slovak wing of the agricultural party and this was also under the influence of the Prime Minister Dr. Hodza in the manner and on the condition promised that the post of Director General was assured to the Ing.Vl. Droppa as an agrarian and Protestant, and for the deputy Hrusovsky the post was created of a well-paid non-performing "official" board of directors. Substance of all attacks can be summarized as follows: 1. In the company many embezzlements had occurred and even the senior officials were suspected of corruption for no reason. 2. The commercial management of the management was bad, since the management had led the same more in the German-Hungarian mentality than in that of the Little Entente. 3. The Germans and Hungarians in society had in every respect an advantage, although they were not entirely reliable from the point of view of the state security. 4. The society employs a great many pensioners of the war navy and the army, which are inextricable. 5. Correspondence is conducted exclusively in German language. 10 6. For everything, not only senior officials, but also the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board and Government Commissioner were responsible. A remedy should be provided by nationalizing the company, which was then pushed externally for military reasons, but in reality for personal and political reasons by Dr. Hodza, as well as by his legislators. As far as the bad commercial management mentioned above is concerned, we must already stress that the new management of the company (Ing.Droppa and Sebera), which had for a long time exposed themselves to the cartel and tariff community with the German and Hungarian shipping operations, had been obliged to the old management with great thanks, since the cartels concluded by the old administration were not in the same position.
