It is the same at the time of the proclamation of the Evangelist, which places the duties against one's own people in the forefront of the moral obligations, on the tone in which it is brought close to the people. All the more important is the formation of a people-owned and people-conscious clergy in the face of this Umstan- des für die deutschen Katholischen der Südostländer. Unfortunately, the present conditions of such a situation are not favorable. The complete lack of German seminars is hoarding the German theologians to seek their education at non-German educational institutions and from the hand of non- German professors. For them, this generally means a sensitive failure of professional knowledge, since most of these educational institutions, as far as the study enterprise is concerned, are only equipped to the most inadequate extent, but on the psychological side, the almost complete departure of a popular education. It is only the visit of a high-ranking national faculty that can effectively create change. From this conviction, the Prague German theological faculty, which is already in its geographical position in the first place considered, has for a long time begun to pay greater attention to the question of Germanism in the south-eastern region. Their representatives sought to gain a clearer insight into the situation of things through study on the spot, to establish personal relationships with decisive persons of public and ecclesial life and, above all, to create a more active and, if possible, regular relationship between them.
