V 32 The supply of honey can to some extent only be calculated for the historical countries. Thereafter a domestic production of about O,4 kg per head results. Since an external trade with honey does not take place, the consumption must be set at the same level. In the present study it is assumed that the consumption of honey in the protectorate and in the Sudetenland has no differences, i.e. it was used with O,4 kg per head (see Table 30). Table 29 The supply of honey unit Historical countries Number of peoples in 1000 512 8,5 1) Yield per people kg Harvest total t 4 300 desgl. (c) Other food products It would lead too far to draw up supply balance sheets for the food products not yet mentioned, i.e. for example: for rice, legumes, fruit, southern fruits, vegetables, drinking brandy, wine and fish. Consumption of these products was calculated or partly estimated according to the methods usual for Germany. The results are given in Table 30. As has already been pointed out above, for these items, for the present studies it is less likely to determine the level of consumption than the necessary import requirements. However, this can be determined relatively reliably in the opposite to the total consumption (see Table 38). Total consumption of food The total consumption of foodstuffs is shown in Table 30 below. For this reason, the total consumption per head of the population is compiled separately for the protectorate and the southern country. For comparison, the head rates for the German Reich have also been included. The overview has already been discussed in detail above, so that it is not necessary to go into this more closely. Table 30
