English Translation
32a We have reported our loss to the Czech authorities and asked for damages. If we were to be at least partially compensated, the damage we have suffered was estimated at about 26o.ooo K. That's a lot for us. We have always tried to help poor people, as long as we were still well, my husband had poor companions and apprentice boys, to whom he gave the goods cheaply, when he saw that they could not pay much money for the material. And now that we are in such a situation ourselves and turn to the moderate people for help, we are fed only so. That is bitter. Since my husband is employed all day long, I myself have sent a request to the Office of Refugee Care at the Ministry of Social Welfare in Prague II, Vladislavgasse. Until now, however, it is still unfinished, so I would like to ask you very much, Sir, if it is possible for you to inform yourself about us so that you can judge the whole matter yourself and help us, as far as you think it is good. I know that I have no right at all to ask for your help, but I have such confidence in you because I know how powerful you are and what a happy hand you have. That is why I have also dared to address this letter to you and to ask you to intercede at our offices. Then I would ask you, if it is only possible for you, come to us, visit us, we would host you modestly, but all the more cordially, and we would have a memory of you. Do not reject my request and if it's only possible to you and if you allow the circumstances, please visit us accompanied by an interpreter. Thank you and draw with the best wishes for your victory Milada Prysová née Hrušková Prague-Branik, cross plan No.56o. 86268 2/10.ty
