P r a g , the 17.lo.1941. Dear Secretary of State! 32 I apologize for writing Czech, don't blame me, I can't yet learn German enough, my husband is learning German now and I want to catch up with everything '. The reason I write to you is that I would like to give you a proof of trust. At the same time, I ask you to listen to me: since the time you took office with us, we have been admiring everything you do for your people and for our people. My husband and I believe that you are a great and powerful man and we are proud that we have such a man who works energetically and purposefully. I have seen you several times in the film week show and I can only say that you have made the impression on me that you know what you want. There are few such men. If the Czech men were like that, we could be proud of them. I personally therefore wish you all the best and much success! You deserve it. I am a former piano teacher, my husband Eduard Prys, currently a painter at the Bulovka Hospital, was formerly an independent, wealthy businessman in Užhorod. We used to live there and in 1938 we had to leave all our property, our newly built house, the business with the material, a small truck, our entire home, the Pianino and many books there. At that time I was there alone with my four-year-old daughter, my older son studied in Prague and my husband was just at the Prague Model Fair. We had to leave our home at that time and were then led by the Hungarians behind the Gren. So we came to Prague as refugees. My husband has a job now, but only a week's wage of K 286 which is little for 4 people. My son is in the apprenticeship and my daughter is attending the 2nd class of the people's school. You can think that we now have to restrict ourselves very much and that it is difficult for us because we were not used to it.
