These are cases where messages have been obtained indirectly by Czech intermediaries, by Germans living in mixed marriages or by other liaison persons. Basically and in general, the statement could be made here that the Czechs were also extremely cautious and reserved towards their own people in their statements. Although numerous cases of depressing criticism, weakening counter-opinion and unbroken mistrust have come to light here, it is clear that a general and absolute rejection of the speech cannot be seen in the circles of Czech industrialists. It is clear that the majority of them became aware of the seriousness of the situation and of the fact that the outcome of the struggle of the Empire against Bolshevism also determines their fate. They have partly understood the need for the measures taken for the total use of war and are prepared for these real plots, without, however, doing more than they are required to do.
