The chief Berlin, 20 January 1944 of the 44-business administrative chief office Lichterfelde-West Unter den Eichen 126-135 Fernaprecher: Local transport 765261 Long-distance transport 765101 W II - KL/Bo/Sti Betr.: Purchase of ceramic factory Keram A, Brok in Rakonitz Minister To the German State Ministry Eing.: 26 JaN. 1944 Preg IV. Czerninpalais Since summer v.Js. The negotiations between the German Minister of State and my department for the purchase of the above-mentioned plant ran positively, so that on my part the official purchase application was sent to the property office at 26.lo.43. After the admission of the wealth office, this department intended to submit the purchase agent to the German State Ministry for an opinion on whether or not my department would accept a company under its supervision as a buyer for the above work. At this internal request of the wealth office my department was given the notification of the German State Ministry of the l7.ll.43 - Abtlg. V/l - which makes no clear decision on the question whether or not there are concerns against the purchase. The RM one hundred thousand limit (approval of the Reichsfinänzministerium) mentioned in the communication is not at all eligible for the Protectorate after my appointments. It is also inconceivable that the communication states that the relocation committee (Mr. Maj-Gen. Hernekamp) is responsible. My request for purchase shows the clear intention of the final acquisition, so that the relocation committee, which can only, as the communication rightly points out, allocate spaces for war-economic tasks, is never responsible for this matter of sale. My department is very interested in the purchase for the reasons set out in the request for purchase from 26.lo.43. In addition, the Reichsführer (Reichsfänger-l) gave me the special order to initiate a considerable increase in production in the area of tile production for barracks and ironworks of the arms-l, as well as in the areas of potters and ceramic products for housing of the bomb-damaged. I ask you to comment on the request again and to decide whether or not there are any objections to the approval of my department, i.e. a company under my supervision as a buyer.
