37 - 33 - of 5000 sales copies (65 207.-- : 5000 = 13.04) a net amount of Kč 13,o5 (rounded) per piece. If we add an average book dealer discount of 25 %, we get a selling price of Kč 17,4o (13,05 + 4,35 = 17,4°). This actually resulting ordinary selling price is still below the price calculated with the lowest sheet prices (for middle school books Kc l,5o s.a. above). This would be 1,5o x 12 = Kč 18.-- + the approved cover price of Kč 3,6o = Kč 21,6o. The author's honorary would also be reduced to 1,3o per piece, where a significant relief would be provided for the publisher. So, how do you see that the Czech textbook in the pricing is cheaper than the German one? Only the stronger competition with the Czech school book publisher, especially the stronger competitors by the state publisher, is more difficult here. As with the calculation of the Slovak textbook, I could not determine. Here the situation is probably similar to that of the German textbook, perhaps even more unfavourable, since the number of Slovaks is lower than that of German interpreters.
