Similar investigations as under 2. for various ore deposits. 4. Investigations into the processing and use of the silicic acid-rich manganese ores of the south-east countries. 5. Experiments to obtain a metallurgically usable coke from the Zsiltal coals. 6. Use of sulphurous coal. 7. Tracking the alpine metallogenesis in the Carpathian region and in the dinarides. The aim of the research centres is to centralise all south-east European Montreux requests at the Montanist University in Leoben, which is particularly suitable for them.
