90 - 6 - In comparison with the referral to economic questions, the processing of cultural matters by the South-East Eumpa Society has so far been carried out only to a small extent for special reasons. At present, however, the education of a cultural-political working group is being carried out. Its capacity is to include: l.) The summary of the South-Eastist workers working in Vienna in the various cultural policy areas. 2.) Its task is to seek, while maintaining the independence of its members and the bodies and associations represented by them, the uniform orientation of the work and the simplification of reciprocal provisions and the strengthening of their impact. To this end, a continuous exchange of plans and results shall take place between the members of this working group. The work of this working group should be as little as possible open to the public, especially since it is also partly concerned with questions of the people. In addition to the maintenance of personal relations in the cultural-political field to the south-east, the working group also has the task of stimulating and promoting the German performance in the southeast in past and present writing. In addition to the already existing Prince Eugene Prize of the Goethe Foundation, which is awarded to people Germans, and the Prince Eugeni Study Foundation, a cultural prize of the South East European Society is to be awarded to foreigners who have special achievements in the field of cultural links between the South-East and Germany. According to its principle as an umbrella company, the South-East European company has, to the greatest extent possible, forged the creation of such own institutions which could compete in the same or similar way as already existing bodies.
