The work of the price monitoring bodies continued to develop favourably in the course of December.The continuing training of civil servants, especially their increasing specialisation in specialist fields, is as favourable as the inclusion of German forces in the relevant Czech offices. It does not appear that the number and the amount of punishments that have occurred have had a striking effect, with penalties of 54 million crowns being imposed in the course of the last year.In October and November, more than 7 million kroons of larger streets have been imposed.December is not expected to follow suit.Of the penalties imposed in December, I will mention the following: 1) Alois Plechaty,Grossfleischer in Pilsen,Waren- verreisung, . . . 3 months arrest, withdrawal of the trade certificate for 2 years and K 150,000.-. - 2) Červenka,Grösfleiser in Pilzen,Wartenverteuerung . .  . .. . . 2 months arrest and K 200,000.- . 3) Kobald_Wenzel,Fleischer in Plzen,Wasenverteu-reisierung . .
