-332- etf - 3 The Slovak Ministry of Defence shall bear the costs incurred for this purpose and shall take charge of the settlement with the competent authorities of Slovakia. IX. The German Wehrmacht shall have the means of payment, guarantees and other benefits to be made available to it by the Slovak Government under this Treaty in accordance with the requirements of warfare. In the interests of the Slovak economy, only that which is militarily necessary for the German Wehrmacht employed in Slovakia will be claimed. Procurement for foreign troops in Slovakia is limited by the provisions of points IV, X and XI of this Treaty. Procurements for German troops outside Slovakia must be carried out in accordance with the rules applicable to the trade relations /goods and payments / of the two states. All advantages, discounts etc. granted under the Slovak laws, decrees or agreements of the slovakischon Vehrmacht benefit the German Vehrmight. The Government of Slovakia will ensure that the Slovak Wehrmacht's institutions, which are required for the proper administration, supervision and maintenance of the property of the former Slovak Republic and for the procurement and proper provision of the benefits in kind agreed in this contract, remain human and material. X. In so far as the benefits in kind provided by this Treaty are not made available to it by the Slovak institutions, the German authorities shall immediately satisfy the requirements arising from the Iande themselves, and shall issue at the same time knowledge of which the Slovak Government is responsible, or shall pay from the funds allocated under paragraph 1 above. Such withdrawals shall also be made in accordance with the provisions of paragraph IV of this Treaty in advance on the economic viability of the country and on the agreed benefits in kind:anrurcchner. XI. Recoverys against receipts shall take place only in extreme emergencies and only in the combat area. These benefits are also intended to cover benefits in kind provided by the Slovak Government. 4
