4 T I added Prague, 15 June 1942 I 1 a - 1801 Particularly noteworthy from the lly24,n administrative report of the Oberlandrat K o l i n for May 19942 In recent times the complaints about field thefts are increasing, especially with Klee and Lucerne. Oberland Rat suggests to take measures already now to combat field thethefts and to announce to the public. The reduction of food ration and the difficult situation on the feed market will mean that field thefts will increase to a considerable extent. This fear applies especially to the vegetable production areas. The public must be warned in good time and in the strongest possible terms of theft. Infringements must be subject to fairly strict penalties. By letter of 9 May 1942, the Wehrbezirkskommando Prag sent a questionnaire on the production structures, seed stocks, fertilizer requirements, etc. and asked for an in-depth presentation of the overall situation in the agricultural sector, "so that Mr Wehrmacht authorised him to think more quickly into the local production conditions". The commando was referred to Group II 2 for information. Apart from the fact that the processing of such reports involves a considerable increase in the personnel shortage, the present case is once again proof of how many posts deal with one and the same matter and this in times of the highest tension in the war economy without practical exploitation and evaluation. /s. 6-7/ In the opinion of the Oberlandrat, the recent rules on poultry farming are generally considered to be unfairly harsh. It is to be expected that any interest in poultry farming will fall, thereby reducing it considerably.
