THE SECRETARY TO THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, INV. 38, Sig. 109-1/43
English Translation
3a absolutely necessary for the needs of the hospital, the troops, the canteens, the workers' recreation homes, the restaurants in larger cities and for the part of the population living in larger towns. The military correctness of my measures, especially in the area of poultry farming, is shown by the fact that, according to the January d.J. the system of self-sufficiency rights and the obligation to deliver eggs in conjunction with the retention restrictions exceeds that of previous years. Whereas, in the previous years, geese in particular have found sales in large quantities and almost without exception at usury prices and without taking into account the places to be supplied, this will no longer be possible in the current year. In conclusion, I note that the 'crime' of the population results from the fact that, in spite of the greatest willingness at usury prices, at the present level of the poultry industry, payable buyers will no longer receive poultry at their choice, but only after the intended allocation. The other part of the population mourns the fact that this year it is no longer possible to achieve, in spite of all the love and free time devoted to poultry, especially geese, - as the rapporteur points out - prices for poultry for slaughter, which simply make the profitability of dairy farming and, in particular, pig farming a farce. In view of the principle of the case, I think it is necessary to point out that the effects of the orders are calculated both economically and psychologically and thus politically in the end. In order to avoid administrative omissions, useless writings and inconsistencies, I consider an order to the inspectors, as the bodies now responsible for the reimbursement of reports to be appropriate, in which it is expressed that these bodies have to see their activities more in order to monitor and control the implementation of the measures initiated by the Reichsprotektor, in particular when, as in the present case, they have been discussed and explained several times with them, as an indisputable and useless criticism of these measures. v Annexes: Abschr.d.M.f.L.u. of 19.5.42 Schr.D.Gr.I/1 plus Any & Invitation for consultation. 11546
