n13 1918 - 1938. According to the last census, around 8l16 Germans, 436 Czechs live in the court district of Hartmanitz. In the year l93o, the Germans formed a majority of 94.3% of the population. Undoubtedly, the percentage of Germans in the year 1 9l8 was even more favourable. In this court district there were 42 state officials and employees of German and 6 Czech nationalities in 19l8. Thus, at the time of the Austrian "repression" the Czechs had occupied 12.5% of the jobs allocated by the state. Up to the year 1938, the number of German state employees fell to l3; the numbers of Czech state employees grew to 45. Today, about 78% of all Czechs to be assigned by the state are occupied. The gendarmerie in Hartmanitz, Haidl, Seewiesen and Stubenbach is purely Czech, the financial guard is also purely Czech in all positions. In the state forest administration in Stubenbach / formerly Schwarzenberg scher Possession/ are today 5 Czechs and only 2 Germans, while in the year l9l8 under the Schwarzenberg administration 6 Germans and l Czechs were employed. In addition, the tax office and the health insurance company , which existed in 19l8, were transferred to the Czech Schüttenhofen. Finally, it should be pointed out that the German post office posts still employed today and similar subordinate posts are occupied. With the exception of a forester of the fort administration of Stuben-bach, all senior officials are Czechs.
