40 - 2 - On 9 January 1945 v. Helversen was asked about the Czech original of the report. Although he recognized the signum under the report as his own, he again stressed that he did not remember the draft report. He could only remember that he had received a series of handwritten reports from President Dr. Jina once after a courier trip to Berlin, with the task of producing a Gesantbericht. Helversen was prompted to write an opinion on the progress of the report, which is attached. It was not possible from here to clarify the context of the coming of the report. On the one hand, v. Mr Helversen gave a credible impression in his pre-languages to the office, on the other hand, his reasoning that he had only produced handwritten notes for an overall report, but that he was somewhat flimsy, as the report contains several phrases such as 'my acquaintance', 'me was informed', etc. Even in his forthcoming opinion, this recurring form of ego in the report was not satisfactorily explained. Should Helversen actually be the author and also the author of the politically absurd news and communications contained in the Report, this would mean that he was at least incomprehensive, if not opposed, to National Socialism in 1937. However, since he has a positive opinion today from former German envoy Beckerle in Sofia, it seems justified to par-done him on the above matter. From here there is no doubt that Helversen is used in the internal administration of the Protectorate in a place where he is not subject to political or even personal political decisions. teroi 19286
