60r 201 V. Housing provision A part of the railway staff to be taken over currently resides in apartments of the Italian administration which are indispensable for the service. These apartments must be vacated by 31 March 1940 at the latest, all other railway-owned apartments until 30 June 1940. In addition, in cases where the official first migrates and leaves his family in Jtalien, a return of the official to carry out the transfer is only possible under great difficulties, usually not at all; it must therefore be ensured by all means that the official can also be provided with an apartment at the time of service. The assistance of the competent public and local authorities is required, if necessary, to obtain access to the premises and, where appropriate, to the places of departure of the designated place of employment. The Reichsbahndirektionen are confronted with the possibility to initiate the best possible procedure in their sphere of activity and to clarify before the official takes up his duties and to inform the NeichsbahnDirektive München whether an apartment can be provided. VI. Social security The following applies to the transfer in the field of social security: 1. The appointed officials will become members of the Reichsbahnamtenkrankenbersorgung, unless they expressly object to accession. 2. The employees who have been taken over and are liable to sickness insurance become members of the Reichsbahn Betriebskrankenkasse, taking into account periods of insurance in the Italian sickness insurance, such as German sickness insurance periods. The Neichsbahn-direktion München informs the responsible district managers of the periods of health insurance in the Italian health insurance. 3. The accident insurance is regulated according to the regulations. 4. The same applies to the sizeable Jnwalidenversicherung. Further instructions follow as soon as the Minister of Labour has made the necessary orders. 5. The workers must be admitted to the sickness and death grant fund and to the Abt. B of the Reichsbahnversicherungsanstalt without a blocking period. 6. In place of the Tbc. insurance according to Italian Necht, the shot is taken over by the German insurance institutions and the district welfare. 7. For payment of the current pensions there is an agreement with the Italian government. If the pension payment is to be made by the Reichsbahnverficherungsanstalt, further instructions will be given. VI. Advances and loans If the remuneration of the staff taken over is burdened by provisions of the Jtalienische Staatsbahnen or by loans made under the guarantee of the railway administration, these claims shall be taken over by the competent Reichsbahnsparkasses, unless they are offset by subsidies. Deductions for such debts must continue to be retained in the previously fixed monthly rates of remuneration, unless the debt has now been redeemed. The necessary documents must be submitted to me by the Reichsbahndirektion München, so that I can arrange for the further payment at the Reich Transport Bank Berlin. VIII. Fuel supply As a result of fuel supply, the staff who are taken over, to the extent that they are housed in the territory of the Eastern Mark, shall be treated in the same way as those who are responsible for the supply of energy to the often Märkish staff. If staff are accommodated in other areas, they shall be assisted by the relevant Reichsbahn Directorates for the supply of fuel, as far as the fuel supply cannot take over this task.
