The deputy of the Führer has generally agreed that, when people from South Tyrol migrated to the Reich, the civil servant relationship is withdrawn from obtaining a political assessment. 2. Under 22. In December 1939, an agreement was concluded between the German Government and the Italian Government on the distribution of the supply burden in favour of the people of Germany and the German Reich members moving to Germany. provides that the Italian negation and the Italian local authorities, to their employees who have opted for German nationality and who have thus withdrawn from service with effect from 1 January 1940, shall retain their previous salaries and wages until they leave for Germany, but not beyond 30 January 1940. On 30 June 1940, on behalf of the German Neiches, the staff of the public administration who reside in the dwellings of the administration which are indispensable for the service must, until 31 March 1940, dispose of these dwellings, otherwise, i.e. if the flats are not indispensable for service, until 30 June 1939. It is also intended that the Italian Government and the Italian local authorities, when the opting employee has emigrated and his family has remained partly or completely in Jtalien, should continue to pay the previous salaries and wages to the family of the servant until their emigration, but not beyond 30 June 1940. With regard to the provisions of the agreement of 22 December 1939, as I have already stated in my circular of 9 December 1939 on this matter, the transfer of the public servants immigrating to the Reich must be carried out with the greatest speed. 3. In order to facilitate the accommodation of the emigrating people's German officials, the Reichsbund of German officials has agreed to provide 1000 places in its own recreation homes and training camps for the housing of about 1oo heads of returned civil servants families up to the final settlement regulations.
