Eop 189 The Neicharbeitsminister II b 1497/39 A Berlin, 20 September 1939. To the Reichsversicherungsamt Berlin Pension payment in relation to abroad I. The payment of pensions of the Reich insurance to beneficiaries who are in the enemy country must be stopped. The payment of Neichsversicherung's pensions to eligible persons residing in the territories of the Republic of Poland affected by the German troops shall be included as soon as the technical possibility for payment is available. II. Persons entitled to a foreign insurance institution who are nationals of Germany or of People's Germans within the meaning of the Circular Orders of the Minister of Neichs des Jnnern of 29 March 1939 Ie 5062/IV/39-5000 e (RMBliV. Sp. 783/784) are residing in the Reichsgebiet and are no longer entitled to benefits from Rusland. The necessary funds must be paid out in advance and recorded in particular. The expenses incurred shall be reimbursed by the Reich. 2. Pensions shall be paid at the present rate. In addition to foreign pensions, they are to be continued. 3. Insofar as the insurance institutions provide documents for the payment of foreign pensions e.g. on the basis of the agreements concluded with Poland on pension payments or in the case of recipients of benefits under the notice of 28 November 1930. As far as the insurance institutions do not contain any documents, the beneficiaries of the foreign insurance institutions have to make the pension claim credible, e.g. by submitting the Nentenreise, the last postal section or a pension receipt. 4. The insurance institutions responsible for the payment of foreign pensions are those which have previously paid this pension or provided care according to the notice of 28 November 1930. In so far as this advance is not given, the Reichsversicherungsanstalt für Angestellte für die Anschäftenversicherung, the reichsknappschaft für die Schnappliche Versicherung and the Landesverficherungsanstalt, in whose district the entitled person resides, are responsible for the disability and accident insurance. III. In view of the payment of pensions from the previous Polish social insurance scheme to beneficiaries in the territories of the Republic of Poland occupied by the German troops, further arrangements are reserved. I shall then ensure that the funds of the RVA are made available for distribution among the insurance institutions. I shall also find it necessary to arrange for the account to be settled.
