No0V 2.) Section Brno. At my arrival in Brno on 30.l.l945 the situation there was little gratifying. Although the Chief Inspector Schrott, sent by Pg.Eckold to Brno, participated in the construction in Weisskirchen and had sufficient experience, it seemed to me that he would submit too strongly to the head of the administrative staff, Mayor Černy, and adapt himself to his wishes. Citizen's master Černy, who may well be an old hoodie but understands too little about the ski jump and is also a too unclear head, is certainly not up to the tasks given to him. In a discussion with him I had to realize that he had no idea about the type of organization we wanted. For example, he had commissioned Chief Inspector Schrott to set up a very good care system. He was not aware of the fact that it was not scrap that was used for the internal administration, but that I was solely responsible for it. However, he still had little concern about the provision of accommodation material, etc. In Brno, the workers had in principle been transferred to the NSDAP, although almost from the beginning a section supervisor had been there. The NSDap took over the transports at the station and employed the workers (locally employed ) without regard to their place of residence. As a result of this procedure, workers living south of Brno were employed north of Brno at construction sites and vice versa. On the impossible long marches was not taken back at all. A part of the workers also simply stayed away from the work. Control over it was not possible, because evidence lists had not been created. 65010
