L/ l5 November 1940. Protection of industrial property. The Slovak Law of 8 October 1940, No. 26l, concerning some measures relating to market protection, was published in the Slovak Law Gazette of 19 October 1940. The law also concerns the trademarks of enterprises in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, which were protected by a former Czechoslovakian Chamber of Commerce in the territory of the whole state, i.e. also in the area of Slovakia, until March 1 939. It is determined that these trademarks in Slovakia the protection of the l4. The law stipulates that these provisions shall be applied only in the event of reciprocity to foreign nationals. We have addressed the Ministry of Justice with the request that the question of reciprocity be resolved in this case, so that we can provide the member companies with precise information as to whether they should register their trade marks in Slovakia for further protection under the law. Vir assumes that there will be reciprocity in the given case, since the provisions of the law are primarily intended to concern the trademarks belonging to the protectorate companies. This question of the further protection of the local Karken in Slovakia was originally to be solved by the German-Slovak agreement on the protection of intangible rights, which was prepared by our participation in the Ministry of Justice in June and July of this year. The Ministry of Justice calls on the l4 November l940 for a consultation in which it is intended to review the situation arising from the publication of the Slo-Wak law. P_r_i_v_a_t_r _ec_ht_ 1.
