Copy. The police president of Prague Prague, December 1, 1944. as a local air raider Az: 63429 To the Ministry of Education Brag. Betr.:_ Reduction of the school children of Prague by secretion to the country. The recent terrorist attacks of enemy planes allow us to expect that Prague will not be spared either. In order to protect young people, a number of schools have been set up in the industrial areas concerned; they have been closed in agreement with the relevant school authorities and the children have been assigned to other schools in less vulnerable areas. The lack of corresponding LS rooms in the school buildings is now partially corrected by the fact that the children living near the schools are removed from school at L-2o and sent home. This precautionary measure is not sufficient, all the less, since according to experience the children do not go home. The parents of many children have the possibility to accommodate their children with relatives or acquaintances in towns in the province or in the villages in the Protectorate, without the children having to give up their schooling in these places. I hereby encourage parents or their alternates to voluntarily give their children to relatives or friends. This will reduce the danger moments and the remaining school youth will find the necessary protection in the existing air shelters of the schools. The further expansion of IS rooms in the schools existing in the company should be continued with emphasis. On the success of my suggestion I ask myself to agree - The President of the State of Bohemia, Reichsauftragsverwaltung was informed of this letter.
