9 Copy. July 6, 1942, To the Bata Hospital in__Z_l_i_n_. From letters from my wife, who has been in your institution since the end of May in the obstetric ward, I understand that the food leaves much to be desired. The food with fresh vegetables, salad and fruit, should be insufficient. It is not understandable to me how in the present time of the year there can be a lack of these vitamin carriers. You too will understand that for this long time, which my wife is already there, a one-sided diet, as it will give to patients who are only 8 - lo days in the hospital, cannot be beneficial. After the obstetric and orthopedic treatment there has failed, I am concerned today that my wife suffers further health damage due to improper nutrition. Since I am still assuming, for the time being, that the health damage to my wife has not been caused intentionally or grossly negligently, and that they have now finally been remedied by intensive treatment, I hope that only this advice will be needed to ensure that the findings of the new and appropriate nutrition teaching are met. Yours sincerely:
