The head of the command station Prague-IV, January 3, 1944 Bohemia and Moravia Fernruf 093/3437 der Reichsjugendführung Kn./Lo. 30 inisteramt "g.: 6 JAN. 1944 File memo E für Hermn Ministerialrat Geheim. SS-Standartenführer Dr. Gies, Ministeramt. Betr.: Heimatflak. The convocation of high school students for the use as air force assistants has proved to be very dangerous for the German youth work in Bohemia and Moravia, since the high school pupils are consistently leaders of the Hitler youth. The Minister of State agrees with my proposal to approach the Ministry of Air Navigation and to abolish the recruitment of air force workers from the Protectorate, which was discussed with the Reichsjugendführer and is fully supported by the Réich Youth Leader. The draft letter from the Minister of State to the Minister for Aviation will be submitted after evaluation of all relevant documents. The use of air force workers in the Protectorate must be carried out by the convening of young people from the rest of the Reich. Youngster: The vim board of trustees of Czech youths for the attempt by the Minister of State to use a Flak battery installed around Prague is immediately stopped due to the recent leader's statement. However, the Minister of State considers in principle that Czech Air Force volunteers must be used to defend their own homeland and intends to discuss this issue with the Führer. Until then, the Board of Trustees will no longer take any action on this matter.
