The formulation of the third sentence places it in the preference of the publishers of maps, place names within the Protectorate first in Czech designation and spelling and then in German designation and writing. The Secretary of State takes the view that local names, which, according to the special maps of the former Oesterreich-Hungarian Military Geographic Institute in Vienna, were only listed in German and spelling, may also be printed today only in German description and writing without an addition, which reproduces the p e dea ca spelling. I therefore recommend formulating the third sentence as follows: Place names within the Protectorate, which are listed in the special cards, etc. in German terms and spelling, may only be reproduced in this name and spell - without any additions. The other names of the places within the Protectorate can be printed in German and Czech terms and spelling. In this respect, the German name and spell-ing must be given priority by always appearing in the first place.
