58 M - 7 - Experimental German-led lessons in geography, natural history-natural teaching, arithmetic in the first class of some Czech secondary schools in Bohemia and Moravia in the school year 1943 - 1944. In September 1943 it was ordered that, in the school year l943/44, a partial shift of German teaching to the classes of arithmetic, brdology, natural history and natural history teaching should be carried out on an experimental basis at some Czech primary schools in the first class, in such a way that of the current 8 hours of the week (7 and the history lesson used for German teaching) 3 the objects mentioned are accounted for, with the instruction being conducted in such way that the teaching in the objects concerned is given in Czech language, as in the prescribed number of hours of a week (Rechnen 4, Erdkunde l, Naturgeschichte-Naturlehre 3 hours of one week). In addition, there will be another hour with German language of instruction as a refresher lesson, which is the training, e.g. It is important that the language skills of the pupils be extended to include all that is closely related to their future professions, i.e. knowledge of the terms and phrases of the relevant areas of life, such as agriculture, industry, crafts, etc. In the remaining 5 hours of the week, the language must be maintained, and the teaching must be deepened and expanded in this respect. For the time being, this injunction was only made experimentally at some main schools, because the eight-hour language teaching in German was at risk of the teaching being frozen into pure (grammatic) language teaching, as was the case at the Gymnsien, for example.
