Agriculture. Larger plans were not made, the activity was generally limited to the granting of grants and loans for ongoing investments in livestock and dead stock. For about 4o micro-farms and domestic animals German funds were pledged in the amount of 75.O00.- RM and partly already spent. 2. Livestock breeding. A further 10 Noriker stallions were purchased in Bavaria, so that now 1o0 Norikershenste could be acquired for the protectorate. Thus, about a quarter of the cold blood stallions covered in the protectorates are purely nordic descent. In the beef and veal sector, all the measures needed to maintain milk production as far as possible, despite the shortage of feed. In particular, the areas north of Prague, with all the officials available, including those of the Ministry, were subject to intensive economic advice in the cow's stables, as these areas have suffered most from drought and the new instructions on the allocation of feed according to market milk production have been issued. This kind of distribution of the feed still available is intended to provide an incentive for the better delivery of milk, and to enable the good dairy farms to get their cows out of the difficult feed situation of this winter and early years. In pig breeding, the "Economic Pig Breeding" show was opened in three cities of the Protectorate at the same time. It has already travelled through different cities and is visited very much everywhere. In individual cities, visitor numbers of 60 - 70,000 people have been achieved. In sheep-breeding, it was possible to acquire very good sheep-bucks in the Reich, which now also makes it possible to expand herd-breeder farms in the Protectorate. In small-scale breeding, the announcement of the regulation of rabbit-breathing is remarkable, which brings a further restriction of the farm in order to reduce the number of rabbits even more by autumn. Furthermore, the plans for the complete implementation of the bee migration were set up, according to which it is possible to fly all the oil-fertilization areas by bees in 1944 for better fertilization and better seed intake. As a result of the scarcity of seed potatoes, it was necessary to reduce the originally required potato area by 10 %. This free area must be grown with oil fruits. Growers who are not even able to provide 90 % of the originally prescribed area with potatoes are obliged to also cultivate the missing area with oil fruit. By this arrangement the kartoffel area probably goes back to the previous year's area and the oil fruit area probably increases by 50 - 60,000 ha.
