−2 452 post workers (helpers) as offspring for the II. and III. class and 139 postmen as offspring of the category of employee employees. II. Repatriations In order to fill the vacant posts (especially the posts of chief and supervising officials), it was necessary to return former officials of the Czechoslovak postal administration, who had transferred to the service of the German Reich Post on the occasion of the political events of l938, to the post of protectorate. The repatriation was facilitated in the autumn of 1994 by the decree of the Minister of Finance of 12.9.4l in so far as the repatriated staff was granted the right to the effect that, in cases where they would receive less remuneration under the directives than they had previously been in the Reichsdienst, their last remunerations were now used for the calculation of the compensation allowance. The free office posts, etc., in whose occupation with Germans we had been particularly well placed, were communicated to the Rand Reichspostdirektionen for notification to the officials in question. All these measures have led to the fact that, beyond the 30 forces returned up to 31,3,41, a further 84 officials etc. could be returned until 31 March 1942. The total number of returnees is now ll4. About 50 cases are still under discussion. II. Reactivations The number of reactivations has increased from 33 to 44, of which 38 are civil servants and 3 are employees. By the end of March 1994 24 German employees of the Pro- tectoratspost had received funding, some 80 cases had been dealt with.• These ongoing cases are, insofar as they are not dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
