Among the professionally competent historians and philologists (Wostry, Schwarz) there is unity in the view, which documents or writings to be documented from the literature for the name of this dynasty occur and which sounds may have been possible in contemporary Germans. It is a language-political task to decide - if possible in accordance with the oldest German tradition - for a writing method which no longer gives rise to relapsed Slavic sounds, which can either not be reproduced at all or only indirectly in the German script. The historical tradition says the following. The German Reich Chancellery was the name of the most prominent bearer of this dynasty under a German form, which was finally called "Otaker", and known under a Czech form, written "Premizl"; in Latin documents both forms occur, as e.g., l253 "Primizslaus qui et Otocharus" or l254 "Otacharus qui et PremizL (Regenta Bohemiae et Moraviae II,l and II,5). In later sources and history books there are various forms of writing: Premizsl, Premitzl,Premisl and (inBarock) also Primisl.-This is the spelling.
