8 When the Austrian and southern members of the pre-parliament of Frankfurt left Vienna on 5 April 1848, they took with them the most proud hopes for a future unity of the German Reich. With particular pride, they emphasized their vocation by the people and hoped for a more successful way out of this vocation than they had been able to bring to date the federal day, which was only served by princes. Were it precisely the princes to whom the unity of a German empire was most inconvenient and who did not interfere in their dynastic interests a dynastic interests, the election of the delegates for the pre-parliament had taken place in beautiful unity, however, the following development showed too much fragmentation and the lack of a uniform strong leadership• The great German thanks were combined with ideas that could not trace their origin back to the German people. Liberalism, which everywhere took over the representation of the great German thought at that time, was a foreign body and not suitable to help the German people's willingness to unite to win. Judaism, which, in these days of nourishment, was waiting to find a good ground for its own interests and business, pushed itself into all leading positions and disintegrated the healthy will of the people through its own ideas and plans. In particular, they were allowed to interfere in the innermost affairs of the German people with foreign peoples, which were made up of the Habsburg state. They used the turmoil of this year to promote the interests of their own people.
