Czerninpalais . 1hh Betr.: Dissolution of the Czech associations and associations existing in the Reich Vorg.: Requested opinion. ngl.: 1. On the request of the Reich Security Main Office of 16 October 194o the following position is taken: The opinion of the Imperial Security Main Authority on the question of the dissolution of Czech associations in the Old Reich, i.e. The admission of new associations is generally divided. Dissolution measures against such associations appear sufficiently justified, after the illegal basic attitude of these associations is clearly demonstrable from the examples drawn up in the letter of the Reichsssicherheitshauptamt. Different treatment requires only those associations which, as local groups, belong to one of the larger Czech national protection and education associations existing in the Protectorate. This applies above all to the local groups of the Sokol, Orel and DTJ (Workerturnverein) or, for example, the Vienna Komenský Association. In these cases, individual measures in the Altreichgebiet of a larger executive action prepared here would be disruptive.
