They must be held in such a way that the court can make out of them an accurate picture of the personality of the accused and of his official and service conduct until the time of the commission of the offence, the offence itself must be disregarded in the issuing of the service certificate. A copy to the courtmaster personally is not required. VI. Betr.: "in the field ". In order to clarify the doubts that have arisen, it is pointed out that all crimes committed in wars are to be regarded as "in the field" (cf. §- 9 No.1, l0 MStGB ).
