THE STATISTICAL PRESIDENT OF THE PROTECTORATE OF BÖHMEN AND MÄHREN Prague, Office of the Secretary of State September 1940. to ben Re:d p.oiektor in Bohemia and Moravia. Eing.: 9. SEP.1940 Tgb. n... 4704 Dear Secretary of State, reading the article "Iron Guard" on the evening of September 4, 1940, the article 'Immortal Chauvinism' on the New Day of September 5, 1940, and the article on "Chauvinist Terror against Czech Vlajka Movement" in the Volksdeutsche Zeitung of the same day, I had the opportunity to note that the so-called Czech radical groups in German circles were given greater attention than I suspected after the discussions with you and with the Reich Protector. I would therefore ask you to consider a number of lines that contain my point of view on this matter. In the article "Immortal Chauvinism" I have in mind, above all, the sentence in which it says that the newly created Czech Union Party "was not included in Czech right-wing opposition". In this connection, I would like to draw attention to the significant contribution made to the creation of the Czech Unity Group by the largest former opposition group, St. S. B22.
