tE - 9 - the expansion of the German school system, which is becoming more palpable, is countered by increased assignments of teachers from the Reich. The German schooling system, as one of the most excellent means in the popular struggle, needs every possible initial and financial support. The institution of the school homes, which is particularly important for the Protectorate, has proved to be an excellent means of giving the children the necessary national orientation, mainly for the children of scattered Germans. In these homes, the children are accommodated and cared for throughout the school year. They often learn only the German language, which they usually do not hear at all at all in Hawse and outside the school. For the establishment of school homes, which are so far mainly supervised by the German cultural association, not only funds were made available, but also considerable improvements could be made to the estimates of the school ministry. The expansion of a whole number of school homes is rapidly progressing, while on the other hand, a general ban on construction prevented the further construction of Czech schools. Difficult and extensive is the now leading review of the Czech textbooks, Here it is necessary to eliminate by often quite radical interventions the during the 20 years of Czech rule of systematically operating youth in the anti-German sense. In the course of the alignment of the schools of the Protectorate with those of the Reich, the three-class civic school was transformed into a four-class school, which follows the 4, elementary school year, if the traditions permit, six-class civil schools can be set up, and the granting of German lessons in Czech elementary schools is compulsory from the 3rd school year onwards, if at least 1 2 children are enrolled.
