22. On the other hand, Jews are seen with N.G. signs. Again, it turned out that officials of the N. G. stork are involved in illegal anti-German efforts. In Brno, for example, both secretaries of the government were arrested. The murderer Smudek, who probably also belonged to the illegal military organization, was also a member of the N.G. (District of Taus, district of Pilsen). Dr. Zástëra plays a special role within the NG. He is supposed to be good friends with Minister Havelka. In public, he has a certain opinion against the N.G. in order, on the one hand, to counter the criticism of his compatriots and, on other hand, determine the measure of criticism and opposition itself and, above all, to take the wind out of the sails of the opponents of the NG. Dr. Zástěra has also been able to bring about these considerable blows by passing over parts of the provincial organisation of the Czech National Social Camp.Several Moravian leaders, as well as Bohemian leaders (Tschaslau, Chotieborsch and Primislau with a total of 49 leading officials) have signed declarations in which they tell the Prague leadership of Jan Ry's obedience and declare themselves to the president as the leader of the N.G. The explanations were strongly underlined in the Czech press, even in places. These "views have probably been paid with money in many cases. The Techecische National-Soziale Lager (Vlajka) suffered during these invasions greatly. The financial difficulties of the Vlajka newspaper were at times so great that they could not appear forward-looking. All these coments, supported by a rich whispering agenda, even the foreign radio, have made the supporters in the province understandably uncertain. The success of the meeting on Prague's ground remained very good. Rys' sharp attacks against the Western powers, the N.G. and the protectorate government, as well as his certain statements for leaders and empire, continue to arouse great applause.
