- 3 - Religious youth education is once again difficult; the Catholic kindergartens have already been abolished to a considerable extent; the countless children who have arrived in the country often do not have the opportunity to attend Mass and religious instruction, so that their religious education is seriously endangered by the family in the event of long distance. In all the middle and high schools of most German countries, the religious profession, which is very much contested, has been limited to the age of compulsory schooling. The school prayer is, at least in principle, abolished everywhere. The textbooks, with their completely unchristian and anti-Catholic attitude, constitute a serious danger to the faith of our children. The entire cath. press, as far as it is not part of the Theolo- gian specialized press, is closed, while the god-believer is allowed to appear unhindered. The spreading of religious literature by church officials is forbidden. Thus, a double stream of religious instruction and encouragement is quickly dried up. The parish libraries are only allowed to borrow books with religious impact. Already a publishing house and assortment has been brought in because of the publication of Catholic literature. Numerous monasteries have then also been raised in ancient empires and the religious have often been driven out enough within a few hours, without them - a great consolation in the examination - in their fidelity to church and religious vocations being shaken. At the same time, public churches have already been closed. Young members of the Order are generally to be made impossible by the work obligation of the aspirants. All these measures are a beginning. Far more important is the intention that as soon as an imperial church for the whole
