Subject: Ordinance of the Imperial Protector for the Protection of Cultural Monuments in Bohemia and Moravia of 10 October 1940 The Criminal Police Directorate of Prague published in a report dated 3 November 1940 v.J. on the alleged paintings of S p i t z w e g, that a director H r b e k in P' r a g- allegedly buys on behalf of the Dorotheum in W i n painting of old masters. The Secretary of State had requested report on this. S eeeT commissioner of the dorotheium in W e n ~. He informed the clerk that the pictures he sent to Vienna were in no way objects of museum value. He was not aware of the decree of the Reich Protector dated 1 October 1940 on the protection of cultural monuments.
