Unfortunately, the district school inspector continued to tell the general director of Prague, who shouted the letter in the indignation about it. In addition, neither the Reg. director of Prager nor I was aware of the agreement to which the Gauleiter refers in his letter of 21.8.42. In this situation, I particularly welcomed Lenk's spontaneous statement that there was no demand for an apology from Prager in Linz, because I should have asked myself to refrain from demanding an apology by Prager anyway. Lenk explained to me, by the way, that he had not passed on Prague's letter to the Gauleiter to complain, but that he just happened to receive it from the Gauleführer in his lecture and therefore, under the first impression, only submitted it to him for information. We have defined the details and the form of the further cooperation so that misunderstandings will disappear in the future. The meeting between Lenk and Prague will reveal the success to the outside world. By the way, the Reichsgau Oberdonau will, due to my discussion with Lenk, assign another 5 teachers to the district of Budweis in the next weeks. Since the Gauleiter was in Munich, he could not receive me, but Lenk was commissioned by him to also manage the matter friendlyly. On this occasion I discussed the question of the maintenance of the popular care allowances. According to the provisions laid down by the Minister of Finance and the Minister for Education, the allowance for the seconded teachers was to be paid for the period up to 1 April 19942 from funds of the Reich budget, while only from 1 April 1942 from the Reich Protector paid. The administration of the amounts predicted by the Gauleiter from funds from the Reich budget by the Reich Ministry of Education is now being initiated more from Linz. 15893 Hulel
