STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1781, sig. 109-5/9
English Translation
In the case of manufactured goods, price increases cannot be avoided even if the most severe calculation is made; they inevitably trigger wage increases which, although kept within the strictest limits by means of the government-driven wage policy in the Protectorate, mean an increase in purchasing power. This purchasing power of the broad masses is entering increasingly empty markets and thus makes it difficult to stop the trade. The High SS and Police Chief, SS Group Leader, State Secretary, Frank, has been set up to combat the smuggling and black trade by an economic special command, which is responsible for the monitoring and orientation of the Committee on Economic Controls established by the Czech Ministry of the Interior and for the ordering of special measures. To date, the supply of coal has not led to major difficulties. I intend to establish a liaison with the Czech trade unions in the near future, to monitor the progress within the trade unions and to bring political and social measures for the working class in the Franco-German Council in proposal 6h2 .
