STATE SECRETARY FOR THE RUSSIAN PROTECTOR IN THINGS AND IN MORAVA, PRAGUE, inv. 1751, sig. 109-4/1506
English Translation
Mr. Chairman of the Government, Minister! When I set the main guidelines for your work at this point a year ago and expressed the hope that your uncompromising activity will not be of little benefit to the rich and Czech people, I was aware that your gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen, are waiting for important tasks. It therefore fills me with all the greater pleasure to be able today, as I look at the events of last year in the main features, to see that you have not only used all your strength in your departments, as expected, but that the first results of your determined work have already been achieved. If you judge justly, you cannot deny a number of remarkable successes in all areas of your activity. However, since the final prerequisite for the complete development of all the creative forces of Bohemia and Moravia is the victory of the Great German Empire, we cannot breathe up with satisfaction until this great common goal has been achieved. I therefore associate with my thanks for everything that has been done, the urgent invitation to build with extreme effort on the good foundations that you have laid. /:Czech/Gerne I also note that the new regulation of government activity, which has been expressed in the independent work of the individual departments, is not perhaps a matter for the government.
